Two Thieves- Easter
The gospels give us four accounts of the two thieves who were crucified next to Jesus: Matthew 27:38-44; Mark 15:27-32; Luke 23:32-43 and John 19:18. The pastor at my church Ross Sawyers preached his Easter sermon on this topic. I was reminded of a sermon from one of my favorite authors- JC Ryle- on this theme as well. As I re-read that sermon this morning, I felt compelled to write down some valuable lessons about faith, repentance and resurrection that we can learn from the story of the two thieves.
